Are dermal fillers that soften lines and creases on your face – such as in the nasolabial folds (see picture below), chin area, cheeks, frown lines, and brows.
Are the best dermal fillers to be used in the lips for more volume, lip margin definition and to ease vertical lines of the upper and lower lips (“smoker’s lines”). You don’t have to be a smoker to develop smoker’s lines! Dr. Abbott has a special interest in performing lip enhancements for a natural feminine look.
Are hyaluronic acid – synthetically made from sugar – and natural to your skin.
Have a gel consistency, hydrate readily with water - and look beautiful in the skin when injected by a skilled physician
Add volume and instantly correct the effects of aging
Last for an average of 9 months (range of 6 to 15 months – depends on location, age of patient, activity level, cigarette use and other prescription medication)
Are now performed without the needle for numbing creams or numbing injections – with the new formulations Juvederm XC and Restylane-L both contain lidocaine in the actual gel, with the result that the injected area becomes numb instantly with each injection. Numbing effect wears off in approximately one hour.
Are performed by Dr. Abbott using application of ice, followed by injection, and then smoothing/molding as necessary. Pain scores range from 2-6 out of 10, and the pain is brief.
Will cause localized redness and swelling of the treated area that lasts up to 24 hours.
Bruising may occur with any facial injections, but the risk is lowered with careful injection and avoidance of Aspirin for a full week prior to receiving Juvederm.
Makeup may be applied immediately after dermal filler injection, and is often done in the med spa prior to your departure

Juvederm XC 0.8cc $500 per Syringe (This may be paid over 3 payments using our own Interest Free Financing Program – Pay $250 on the Day of Service, $125 in 30 Days, and another $125 in 60 Days).

Restylane-L comes in 3 sizes as follows: 0.5cc $299 per syringe; 1.0cc $479 per syringe; 2.0cc $799 per syringe

A note on “volume”: cc=mL. It is important to understand what size of syringe is being advertised and used.

The above picture was taken on the same day that one vial of Juvederm was placed into the nasolabial folds. As you can see, Juvederm offers an instant “volume” correction of folds. The “After” picture on the right is taken on the same day – you can see redness of the injection site -this is entirely normal, and subsides within hours. As with all filler services, some bruising and swelling is typical after injection. Bruising varies greatly between individuals, and can be minimized by stopping over the counter “blood thinners” a week prior to the service (such as Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aleve, Naproxen, ASA, Bayer Aspirin, Fish Oil, Omega 3 Fatty Acids, Vitamin E – if unsure if it is safe to stop any medication, check with your doctor first). Tylenol does not increase the risk of bruising.
